PHI Seminars

Warning:  These seminars are not for “[t]hose timid souls who can only keep up the struggle of life by the aid of continuous false illusions of success” (TUB 160:4.8).  We will directly confront the rugged truths of the fifth epochal revelation to our world, seeking the courage to follow those truths, wherever they may take us.

“It is helpful to man’s cosmic orientation to attain all possible comprehension of Deity’s relation to the cosmos.” (TUB 118:1.1)  Deity is the source of all that which is divine.  Deity is more fundamental than God—God is personalized Deity.  God is spirit, but Deity is more than spirit.  Deity is unity, and the unity of Deity not only embraces the spiritual values of the Universal Father and the Eternal Son but is also cognizant of the energy facts of the Universal Controller and the Isle of Paradise, while these two phases of universal reality are perfectly correlated in the mind relationships of the Conjoint Actor and unified on the finite level in the emerging Deity of the Supreme Being.

Just as the street where one lives looks very different when viewed from above versus from ground level, so do the events of one’s life look very different when viewed in a greater context.  The study of total Deity expands cosmic consciousness and enhances the ability to reflect upon one’s life and universal reality with a genuine unity viewpoint.  And when this perspective is brought into relationship with a coordinated individuality viewpoint, we begin to see the events of our everyday lives in their true, three-dimensional, philosophic context.

Reawakening Philosophy

The world is filled with lost souls, not lost in the theologic sense but lost in the directional meaning, wandering about in confusion among the isms and cults of a frustrated philosophic era.  Too few have learned how to install a philosophy of living in the place of religious authority.  And this religious authority is often promulgated by individuals whose religious motivation is more or less unrecognized, such as materialistic scientists.

These thoughts are drawn from The Urantia Book and are a call to courageously and independently take up the challenge of the reflective thinking of true philosophy, and to apply your personal living philosophy toward the reformation of everything that you do.

Many people have attempted to approach and understand The Urantia Book from the bottom up, that is, as a religious or a scientific text.  To avoid putting new wine into old wineskins, one must engage it from the top down—as the philosophic text that it is.  The two-part seminar entitled “Reawakening Philosophy” provides inquisitive-minded people with just such an introduction to The Urantia Papers—the fifth epochal revelation of truth to our world, and the means to finally establish a true philosophic context for science and religion.
